I love, love, love highstreet and designer collaborations so you can imagine how excited I am about the Valentino and Gap collaboration.
And judging by the pictures showcasing the seven pieces in the new collection, there’s a definite reason to be sleeping on the pavement tonight so I can be the first to get my hands on the range when it launches tomorrow morning.
Unlike the Lanvin for H&M range (who managed to get their hands on a piece of this range?) this collection mixes the basics that Gap is famous for with a luxury touch. Cargo trousers are mixed with ruffles, while trench coats are transformed with frilled detailing.
“We love mixing different cultures and we have been excited to mix gap’s timeless essentials with our roman culture of couture,” the label’s designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli explained. “It brings together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap’s fashion staples, synthesising the current trend of combining luxury with basics.”
The collection will arrive at Gap in London as well as Dover Street Market. Who’s getting their sleeping bags ready now?
